The Amazing Benefits of Cannabis Infused Honey (Video)

Image
by  N.Morgan The possibilities are endless for this versatile cannabis infusion. Use it in lieu of other types of sweetener by incorporating it into your favorite sweet and savory dishes (think:  honey oat muffins ,  chocolate avocado mousse ,  smoothies , and more), or just simply stir the sweet liquid gold into a cup of tea or drizzle over a cheeseboard. Bird and the Bee founder Elizabeth Vernon learned to keep bees at a nearby community garden when a beekeeper visited and offered to take her on as an apprentice. After working with several beekeeping mentors and taking on multiple internships in upstate New York, Maine, Jamaica, and the West Indies, it was apparent Elizabeth had found her purpose. Today, Vernon is known as “ Queen Bee ” to everyone she meets and has been an apiarist for nearly 10 years. Scientists Have High Hopes That Cannabis Could Help Prevent and Treat Coronavirus (Video)

Image
by  N.Morgan This remarkable team of Canadian scientists believes they have found strong strains of cannabis that could help prevent or treat coronavirus infections, according to interviews and a study. Researchers from the University of Lethbridge said a study in April showed at least 13 cannabis plants were high in CBD that appeared to affect the ACE2 pathways that the bug uses to access the body. “We were totally stunned at first, and then we were really happy, ” one of the researchers, Olga Kovalchuk,  told CTV News . The results,  printed in online journal Preprints , indicated hemp extracts high in CBD may help block proteins that provide a “gateway” for COVID-19 to enter host cells. Kovalchuk’s husband, Igor, suggested cannabis could reduce the virus’ entry points by up to 70 percent.  “Therefore, you have more chance to fight it,”  he told CTV. “Our work could have a huge influence — there aren’t many drugs that have the potential of redu...

Ingenious Man Figured Out How to Train Bees to Make Honey From Cannabis (Videos)

Image
by  N.Morgan Several people are referring to this man as a genius and has taken medical cannabis to a whole other level. He is an artisan, locksmith and above all else, he explains, a beekeeper.  He has accumulated over 4,300 Facebook followers, and 700 on Instagram, after the 39-year-old Frenchman — who describes himself as an advocate of medical cannabis and of complete cannabis legalization —  trained bees to make honey from cannabis . He goes by the nickname of Nicolas Trainerbees, for obvious reasons. For 20 years, he has worked with bees in a way he claims allows him to “train” them to make honey from virtually anything. “I have trained bees to do several things, such as collect sugar from fruits, instead of using flowers,”  he explains. Nicholas says he has  “been passionate about nature since childhood,”  which led him to this profession, mixing his love for plant life with his love for animals –,, espe...

How The Human Body Processes Cannabis  Dr. Allen, retired cardiac surgeon & cannabinoid research scientist enlightens us about the Endocannabinoid System. The following first appeared in Cannabis Now: In the future, perhaps 20 years from now, cannabis-based medicines will have a prominent place in the worldwide pharmacopeia again. Indeed, we might have even gotten there much faster if it hadn’t been for the draconian interference of the U.S. government. To this day, they are still blocking researchers from accessing cannabis to study.   Countless thousands have died suffering and millions more continue to be denied access to plant-based medications that could not only mitigate their misery, but also possibly even cure them.Cannabis medications work so efficiently because of the endocannabinoid (EC) system, present in all humans and many animals as well.
