It is a beginning in a long road of justice for Kelly and his family. Protesters blocked Commonwealth had Highland Avenues in Fullerton during a protest Saturday against the acquittals of two former officers charged in the death of Kelly Thomas. The FBI has decided to investigate the officers who were acquitted, in the beating death of Kelly Thomas. The FBI wants to see if Mr.Thomas' civil rights were infringed upon. YES, they were! A teacher, Veronica Joyner gave her students, hats,gloves, and scarves, to keep them warm. She had no idea her kindness would lead to one of her students being assaulted and hurt in such an ugly way. Darrin Manning, 16, says he was daydreaming about a game, when he got off of the subway, that day.  Manning admits that one of his teammates may have said something smart to the cop they had noticed staring them down. So when the cop approached, they ran. Scared, Manning ran a little, too. But then he stopped. Police records state that Manning, who is black, was stopped by Officer Thomas Purcell, who is white, after the 11-year veteran observed a group of males covering their faces with ski masks and running. ( N.Morgan ) An awful situation where a desperate man uses the police for suicide. The knife wielding man was asked 8 times to put the knife down, before police fatally shot Eric Byron Johnston. The footage below is from a body cam of one of the officers. I must warn, discretion is advised. This is hard footage to watch. The officer’s body camera footage shows a tense confrontation between the officer and Johnston, who had just fled a nearby car accident and was inside a friend’s apartment. Mortensen entered the apartment looking for Johnston after learning Johnston was upset and had the knife. In fact, Johnston was holding two knives. Johnston, who was standing in the kitchen, began to walk slowly toward the officer, prompting Mortensen to warn, “I will shoot you.” Four more times Mortensen yelled for Johnston to put the knives down as the man continued to walk toward the officer. Then he fired five times from a few feet away, and Johnston crumpled to the floor. ...

( N.Morgan ) There has been a growing outrage over the Kelly Thomas verdict, as there should be. This was a mentally ill man, who hadn't done anything, was only suspected of committing a crime, which none of the items stolen were found on him. This sets one of the most dangerous and startling presidents in the law and how police deal with us. Mr. Thomas will be going forward with civil litigation, we can all expect to be guilty, and of we are given the chance, we will have to prove our innocence first.   The disgust and rage we feel, must pale compared to that of Mr. Thomas's family. His father, a former LAPD officer himself, was livid after viewing the video tape, as his son cried for him. As a parent, hearing those cries must have killed Mr. Thomas to his very soul. ( N.Morgan ) The Thomas Kelly case, one of the most brutal death by cops, yet. The homeless man who was beaten to death by Fullerton police, who cried for his father as they beat him. The officers who were accused of his beating, were found NOT guilty on all charges,today. I cannot believe they can continually get away with these sort of abuses and murders!   The defense for the cops claimed Mr. Kelly died from heart issues, due to long drug use. Does this picture above look like heart issues?? Defense attorneys also described Thomas’ violent encounters with family members and drug use that began when he was a teenager. There was no evidence of blood or alcohol in Thomas’ body at the time of his death, a coroner’s report stated. The protests were held due to a water shortage the community has been facing and their discontent became a protest, which the authorities are saying was illegal. To other protesters were injuries, no new details on their conditions. ( N.Morgan ) The police across the country seem to have adopted a new attitude about traffic violations, somehow that turn deadly. The latest death by cop, was last week in San Diego, California. The police began a car chase with a man,who was talking on his cell phone and driving, it ended in a hail of bullets, leaving the "suspect" dead. What is most concerning about this particular case, is the innocent bystanders, that were all over the scene, while police opened fire on the car. They claimed the man behind the wheel pointed a gun at them. That claim as of yet, hasn't been substantiated.     The police brutality rate has gone up in this country, more than I think we can really calculate, simply due to the lack of reporting these crimes. ( N.Morgan ) Now you can add mutilation to the police's repertoire. Michael Bratt alleges that Hernando County sheriff's deputies beat him until his eyeball fell out. Mr. Bratt is now suing for 10 million dollars. The report filed by deputy Steven George, states that fault lies with Mr. Bratt, not the officers.. George responded to the complaint, and after speaking with neighbors, jumped the fence that surrounded their property instead of using the call box at the front gate. Bratt answered the front door and asked to see George's badge, showing signs of anger, saying he was trespassing. Things then got heated as Youmans came to the door and started yelling at the deputy. ( N.Morgan ) Another charming and delightful San Diego Deputy threatening someone's anus, if they didn't turn the camera light off!  What is with these cops and their obsession with our anuses? One thing is for sure, it is becoming more dangerous to film their antics and we have to stand firm and evoke our right to film their procedures, for legal reasons. Do not allow them to intimidate or bully you into not filming them. This is one of our main defenses against them in court and for lawsuits for brutality.
