Warfare and Financial History (Video)

by  N.Morgan   Warfare, with its appalling humanitarian consequences and vast economic costs, has stimulated financial innovations from the spread of coinage to the creation of the national debt. Conversely, economic weakness and the inability to properly utilize financial resources have been causes of military defeats. The relationship between economics and warfare is one of the themes treated in some detail in a 700-page book on the  history of money . For the historical context of the conflicts listed below see also the annotated  chronology  which includes references to the page numbers of the book. The source of the information is: Davies, Glyn. Craig Hemke: The U.S. Has Come Off The Rails – Mass Civil Unrest Is Coming  In a time of universal deceit – telling the truth is a revolutionary act. – George Orwell (Eric Blair) They’re at the point now (the central planners) where they are just openly making things up and manipulating data just to game whatever they want to do. It is surreal to watch. – Craig Hemke, Shadow of Truth  When a nation owes another nation a million dollars, the debtor has a problem. When a nation owes another nation $1.2 trillion dollars the creditor nation has a problem. How does the creditor nation, China, handle this fact?  What if China began using the interest payments from the debtor nation, the United States, to finance a new global bank, like the BRICS Bank and the AIIB? What if the creditor nation, China, began using the interest payments , roughly $300 billion annually, to build a New Silk Road that solidifies relations with their neighbors, creates commerce for bo...

Senior NATO Official Claims We’ll Be At War By Summer  Last week, former NSA intelligence analyst John Schindler posted a rather disturbing tweet.  With a statement that one could only assume to be a reference towards Russia, Schindler wrote “Said a senior NATO (non-US) GOFO to me today: “We’ll probably be at war this summer. If we’re lucky it won’t be nuclear.” Let that sink in.” So who is John Schindler? Being a ten-year veteran of the NSA, he was in the news a bit more when Snowden was making frequent headlines. He used to be a professor at the U.S. Naval War College, and is currently a frequent contributor to Business Insider. According to his biography on Business Insider, he used to teach classes on security, strategy, intelligence, and terrorism, and he has “collaborated closely with other government agencies who would probably prefer he didn’t mention them.” It’s safe to say that Schindler probably brushes shoulders with high-ranking officials from ti...

US Wars Kill Mostly Civilians  Post-9/11 alone, millions of civilians perished in US direct and proxy wars. They were either in harm’s way, deliberately targeted, or perished from war related violence, preventable diseases or deprivation. Washington, like Israel, considers noncombatant civilians legitimate targets. International law calls killing them a war crime . Obama’s Iraq war and Syria bombing aren’t against IS terrorists. They’re US recruited proxy foot soldiers, supported by American air power. Washington’s Friday’s Aleppo area bombing murdered dozens of noncombatant civilians – not a single IS terrorist. None were targeted. More http://bit.ly/1AWektI 'via Blog this'

The Russian Military Aircraft Draw Closer To US Shores, Intentions Remains Unclear   The media has been abuzz with the prospect that the US and Russia may go to war. Now information is coming in that Russian military aircrafts are getting closer to American shores. The area is  named for an old mining camp, Tin City is a tiny Air Force installation atop an ice-shrouded coastal mountain 50 miles below the Arctic Circle, far from any road or even trees. The Pentagon took over the remote site decades ago and built a long-range radar station to help detect a surprise attack from the Soviet Union. At least from this frozen perch, America’s closest point to Vladimir Putin’s Russia, the Cold War is turning warm again. More with Video http://bit.ly/1CWb985
