Powerful 6.8 Earthquake Strikes Off Japan’s Honshu Island  A powerful 6.8 earthquake has struck off the eastern coast of Japan’s Honshu island, USGS and Japan Meteorological Agency report. Shaking has been felt in Tokyo. The quake struck at 6:13am local time at a depth of almost 50 kilometers. No casualties or damage have yet been reported. No tsunami warning was issued by JMA and according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, based on all available data a “destructive pacific-wide tsunami ” is not expected. Hawaii’s Big Island Shaken By Twin Earthquakes – Volcanic Lake Hit Record Levels  A pair of temblors rocked the Big Island early Saturday morning (May 9). At 2:17 a.m. a 3.1 magnitude quake struck the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park area while a second quake of 4.5 magnitude shook a minute later at 2:18 a.m. west of Pahala. Superquake Rocks Nepal Shock Footage! Massive 7.8 Magnitude, Hundreds Dead, Trapped, Injured  More than 700 people are known to have died in a massive earthquake in Nepal,  and many more people are missing with fears some people are still trapped under rubble, officials say. The 7.9 magnitude quake struck an area between the capital, Kathmandu, and the city of Pokhara, the US Geological Survey said. Tremors were felt across the region, with further loss of life in India, Bangladesh and on Mount Everest. I have shared before that these booms were heard before the big earthquake on the Madrid in 1811-1812 . This activity recorded in the video below happened just a few hours ago, in Pensacola, FL. The quake hit at 5:08 am (0308 GMT), with its epicenter just 12 kilometers (seven miles) from Lixouri, 300 kilometers west of Athens, the US Geological Survey said. The USGS measured the quake at 6.1 points , while the Athens observatory put the intensity at 5.7 points.
